Definition: (v) The act of getting down on one knee and thanking the Lord for something you actually did.
About Tim Tebow: Timothy Richard Tebow, or better known as Tim Tebow, is an American football quarterback that has to be one of the most well-known (almost new) newcomers to the NFL. As a quarterback he is a double treat. He exceeds in rushing and passing.
Early on in his career he played football for the University of Florida, as the Florida Gators quarterback, winning the Heisman trophy in 2007. After graduating he was drafted to the Denver Broncos in the 2010 National Football League draft, where he made his debut. However, on March 20th, 2012, Tebow was traded to the New York Jets for Peyton Manning and earlier draft picks for the Jets. I myself am a Dallas Cowboys fan, but Tim Tebow was turning me into a Denver Broncos fan with his unconventional football quarterback skills and frequent demonstrations for his love of God, “Tebowing.” Although I am still a Tebow fan, I will still remain a Cowboys fan forever, and will not be routing for either the New York Jets or the Denver Broncos.
Now, me being a Christian woman, I very much appreciate Tebowing, and Tim Tebow. Believe or not, it takes courage for one to express their religion in front of others, and for him to do get down on his knees and pray in front of thousands of people is inspiring. Tebow knows that God is the reason he is blessed with his amazing football talents, and he knows that he would not be there at all if it weren’t for that. Also, I believe that he is showing other Christians that it is okay to show your love for God because he is the reason you are here in the first place. What can I say? I love a man who puts God above all else. It has been reported that many Atheists have been converted into believers because of Tim Tebow, and other celebrities, and athletes. They are looked up to and are inspirational, so they have the power to spread the message of God without even trying. I am not here to preach, so I apologize for my little rant.
On that note, I believe that the world needs more Tim Tebow’s around, and even though others may criticize it, I believe in it, and respect it. Many observers and football players claimed they have never seen anything like it, or him.
