With Jeff Skinner's entry-level three year contract coming to an end, Carolina Hurricanes were certainly not hesitant when it came to resigning the forward to a multi-year contract. Skinner agreed to a six-year extension with the Hurricanes on Wednesday, one that will pay him $4.35 million in 2013-14 and $6 million in each of the five seasons following. According to resources the opportunity to be resigned for the length of time was not anticipated by Skinner, and he is thrilled that he has seven more years to focus on. The Carolina Hurricanes are thrilled that they have locked in their all-star forward for the next seven seasons. Jeff Skinner's Achievements Since Joining The Carolina Hurricanes:  146 Career Games, 107 Points (51 goals, 56 assists). Within his rookie season Jeff Skinner led all rookies with 63 points (32 goals, 21 assists) en route to become the first player in franchise history to achieve the Calder Trophy.
